Internet Safety Rules 101

(You should follow these rules whenever you’re on the Internet!)

Play it safe.
Never give out your home address, your email address, or your phone number and never give out your login name or password. No one from KTV will ever ask for that information except for some of it when you are first signing up. And you can be assured that we’re not going to give it to anyone after you sign up; any information you give us is just so that we can help you communicate on-line, period. KTV, or its parent company Sky Angel, does not sell, rent or distribute your information to outside parties (that means people or companies) at any time.
KTV Chat Name.
Don’t use your real name here or anything even close for safety reasons. Don’t use personal info either. Be creative and fun!
Be nice.
That means don’t do or write anything that would be considered “wrong” by your parents, your teachers, your church, and especially by God. We don’t need to spell it out for you; you should know right from wrong at this point in the game. KTV reads everything before it’s posted so it won’t get on the site anyway so you might as well not even try.
Links & Emails.
Leave out links or other email addresses in your post. KTV reviews all sites that we link to so we’ll have to delete it anyway before it goes on the site. It just wastes your time as well as ours, but we appreciate the thought!
Help!
If you’re in trouble or need help from an adult please email KTV directly (under “KTV Contact Us”) and we’ll do everything we can to get you help. Don’t post it on-line if it’s that important; e-mail KTV instead so an adult can help immediately. Or if you’re in immediate danger call the police by dialing “911” on your phone.
Chat age.
You MUST be under 13 to post on this site; KTV’s Kid Zone is for kids only. KTV’s Teen Zone is for youth 13 and over so if you’re a teen, go there to chat. And no adults are allowed to post on either site, except for KTV web site monitors, of course!
Promotion.
At times KTV may like what you had to say so much that we want to post it somewhere else on the web site or even use it in our brochures or advertisements. By posting your thoughts on KTVZONE.COM and getting your parent’s permission to do so, you and your parents are telling us it’s okay to repeat what you say, even in an advertisement. That would be really cool, right!
